Records Division

Records Information 

The Records Division is responsible for the storage of all police reports, accident reports, and special files that involve some action regarding police activity.

Types of Requests

Personal requests: Accident reports or criminal reports available as open records may be picked up between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Lindsborg Safety Center, 102 South First Street, in Lindsborg, report fees will apply.  

Written requests: Written requests may be mailed to the Lindsborg Police Department, P.O. Box 70, Lindsborg KS 67456. Please include any applicable report fees (call us if you have questions 785-227-2988). In the request, please provide as much detail as possible for the item being requested.  If possible, include the date of the incident/report, name of person or persons involved and a case number if available.  We request all fees be paid prior to reports being delivered.  A written request may be submitted via fax (785-227-9955)  however, it will not be produced until the applicable report fees are received in our office.

Report Fees 

Electronic Copies

  • Files, Photos, Videos can be requested on CD, DVD, or USB compatible drive for $25.00

Paper Copies

  • For copies of reports 10 pages or less, there is a $2.50 records fee. Anything over 10 pages, an additional 10 cents per page is required, and if research to locate files is required, then a $10.00 per hour fee will be included.
