The City of Lindsborg will hold a public hearing on Monday, March 2^nd, 2026 at 6:30 PM in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 101 S. Main Street, Lindsborg, KS 67456, for the purpose of considering an application to be submitted to the Kansas Department of Commerce for the Small Cities Community Development Block Grant under the Housing Rehabilitation category. A specific project to be discussed involves the substantial rehabilitation of approximately 9 dwellings occupied by qualifying low-to-moderate-income families, with approximately two (2) rental units and seven (7) owner-occupied homes and the demolition of approximately one (1) blighted residential structure within the target area bounded by the City limits of Lindsborg, Kansas. The estimated project cost is $336,500, with the grant request for $300,000.00 and a local match of $36,500.00 derived from landlord contributions, the Kansas Weatherization Assistance Program, and City funds. Other project proposals introduced at the public hearing will be considered. Oral and written comments will be recorded and become a part of the City of Lindsborg CDBG Citizen Participation Plan. Reasonable accommodations will be made available to persons with disabilities.
