Planting trees is rewarding for a variety of reasons. It's fun, provides beauty to the area and gives us oxygen to breathe. It also helps to diversify our urban forest, which is important to help alleviate adverse effects of development and provides shelter for us and animals. Through the city's Tree Cost Share program, you can get reimbursed for planting trees.

• $50 towards a new tree with proof of purchase 
• Tree must be on the city-approved list
