Any resident who knows a former Kansan who is a family member, friend, co-worker, or anyone, and is currently living outside of the state is invited to this casual, come-and-go letter writing event. The purpose of the event is for folks to write short messages to those former residents asking them to consider moving back to the Sunshine State.

Cards and postage will be provided, along with light refreshments. For every card that is filled out and an address provided, that person will be entered into a raffle where they could win a Lindsborg-logoed backpack and travel mug, along with gift certificates to local businesses. You don't have to be present to win.

This project is a part of the Love, Kansas initiative that was launched in July of this year by the Kansas Department of Commerce. The goal of Love, Kansas is to attract former Kansans to return home to work, live and play, which will strengthen our communities. Lindsborg is one of 48 communities in Kansas who will take part in the program. Each community will receive a grant of $5,000 for efforts to recruit former residents back to the state.
