The Average Monthly Payment (AMP) feature is a tool that enables utility customers a more level monthly bill amount than what would occur with normal seasonal variations in services.

The City of Lindsborg uses a Running Calculation for AMP payments. The average is calculated as a rolling average based on the customer's current bill and their last 11 bills including any plus or minus adjustments to the customer's account. Therefore the total due each month is not a fixed amount but varies within a percent scale. If the AMP is discontinued or utility customer moves the AMP recapture amount will be due on the final bill.

In order to qualify for the Average Monthly Payment program a utility customer must have 12 months of service with no penalties and agree to continue to pay penalty free.
