unanimously by roll call vote.
Council President – David Higbee
nominated Rick Martin to serve as Council President. There were no other nominations. David Higbee moved that nominations cease and
was seconded by Emile Gallant. Motion
passed. Rick Martin elected.
Planning & Zoning – PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION BYLAWS – Rick Martin moved to approve the updated
bylaws for the Planning & Zoning Commission as presented. Motion seconded by Kelley Menke and passed.
Old Business – OVERNIGHT PARKING
DOWNTOWN – David Higbee moved to approve the removal of the limited time parking
signs from the 100 blocks of north and south Main Street. Motion seconded by Rick Martin and passed.
– KMEA/WAPPA HYDORPOWER CONTRACT - In January of 2015, action was taken to
approve the extension of the Western Area Power Authority (WAPA) contract from
2024 to 2054. The City of Lindsborg receives Federal hydroelectric power from
WAPA, specifically WAPA’s Loveland Area Project. The last action to be taken is
the approval of the attached Exhibits and the contract between the Kansas
Municipal Energy Agency and WAPA. David
Higbee moved to approve the extension of the contract between the KMEA and
WAPA. Motion seconded by Becky Anderson and
passed unanimously by roll call vote.
ORDINANCE 4981 – NON-PARTISAN
ELECTIONS - Betty Nelson moved to adopt Ordinance 4981 which designates all
local elections as non-partisan. Motion
seconded by Kelley Menke and passed unanimously by roll call vote.
Session – None
Head Reports – PUBLIC
WORKS – Gave update on employee recruitment for WWTP/Meter Reader position.
PUBLIC SAFETY – Gave update on case
load numbers, EMS runs and giving the unclaimed bicycles to TACOL
CVB/SUNDSTROM – Gave update on
partnering with Ad Hoc on marketing and upcoming events as the JOS.
Administrator gave a brief update on the status of the golf course
