Planning & Zoning – no report

Administration & Finance – BRUNSWICK CODE ENFORCEMENT– Becky Anderson asked for an update from staff on recent efforts by Public Works regarding Building Code violations at 202 S. Main. Tim Dunn, Public Works Director, recapped the process to date, stating that he has requested an inspection this week to check the status of the work. Ms. Anderson asked the City Attorney what the rights and opportunities of the City were, and Bill Gusenius responded that the fact that no criminal charges have been filed to date, a firm deadline to bring the building into compliance had not yet been set. He further stated that a formal hearing would be the next step in forcing compliance, but felt that Mr. Dunn’s informal process has been acceptable to this point. Ms. Anderson said that she looked forward to Dunn’s report of inspection. No action taken.
